A little, “How could I do this to him?" mixed with a whole lot of “Here it comes"
She took my hand, squeezed it tight while she searched for the words
Cried the first tear for me
Tried not to make it hurt

But there ain’t no sweet in a sugar-coated kiss
No good in goodbye coming off of her lips 
A wrecking ball’s - still a wrecking ball  - when it hits 
She did all of the things that I would of done
If I loved her but knew she wasn’t the one 
But when it comes to breaking hearts 
“Let ya down easy” always comes down hard
